The referral process for Gifted Identification begins January 6 – January 24th. During this time, a parent/guardian, teacher, community member, or peer may submit the name of any student in Grades Kg, 1, 2, and 6 to be evaluated for gifted services. All requests must be submitted in writing or through email to the school’s Gifted Identification Coordinator, Kevin Carr(email@example.com) or Cameron Smallwood (firstname.lastname@example.org). Referrals should include the student’s name, grade, teacher and area of referral (math, language or both areas.) Once the referral has been received, additional information will be sent home in late October. This paperwork will allow the school to begin the process of collecting multiple criteria to determine the student’s eligibility.
