Next week Varina High School begins implementing two large drug awareness events. See the flyers and messages below for details to participate.
October 30th Event:
The Drug Task Force here at Varina High School is planning several events for Red Ribbon Week October 28th – November 1st, 2019. One of the events will be our Red Ribbon Football Game on Wednesday evening, October 30th at 7:00 P.M.
November 6th Event:
The Drug Task Force of Varina High School will be hosting our Silent No More presentation on November 6th, 2019 in the auditorium at 6:00. The premise of our Silent No More presentation is to give voice to families of victims who have suffered a loss due to opioid overdoses and shine light on an increasing problem in our society today. The presentation will include guest speakers; Jenny Derr and Jennifer Tolson; who will share their stories about their children whom they lost to opioid overdoses. Please plan to attend and show support for these families and this powerful message as we continue to raise awareness and take a stand against this epidemic.
We would love to have your support that evening as we spread awareness about drug use and prevention and look forward to an evening of camaraderie with our community partners. Thank you for all you do to support our students and community.
